Suppliers
At Urban Hippies, we have invested a great deal of time over the past few years in carefully selecting our long-term suppliers who, just like us, are mindful of materials and the environment. For example, we work with an Italian family business for our bestsellers: the Dots! They work with great passion for their craft and have been supplying our bio-resin dots for 6 years.
Recycled Materials
We make use as much as possible of all the beautiful things that already exist. We source vintage materials (vintage enamel and glass) from European dealers and assemble them in our workshop in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Second-hand clothing is also used as material that can be reused (see Ripeti’s). In this way, we work with a green heart and produce nothing that already exists.
Shipping
Our packages are shipped by bicycle couriers! Using (electric) cargo bikes and trailers, the bicycle couriers transport all kinds of goods sustainably throughout the day. For international shipments, they collaborate with reliable partners and drive emission-free for these packages as well.
Green Heart
For us, it is important that we hold each other accountable. This extends to the smallest details: the choice of materials that remain beautiful for a long time, timeless designs, and a preference for hand tools, even if it means more work. We keep everything close to ourselves and ensure that we stand behind the product.
